Permanent Residency
You will receive a Canadian Permanent Resident card; this is official proof of status after applying for the Canadian PR (and its approval). It is a plastic card that fits inside a wallet that allows you to re-enter Canada as many times as you want. In order to re-enter through Canadian entries, you must present this card. It also must be renewed on a 5-year basis.
In order to manage and maintain a status of permanent resident, you have to reside (physically) in Canada over 730-days within every 5-year period. You are able to accumulate these days either spread out or consistently over the 5 years by your convenience.
Sincerely,
The GlobalCAIM Team!
